Neighborhood Health Partnership
The Neighborhood Health Partnership is a HMO operating in the South Florida tri-county area including Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami Dade counties. Neighborhood Health was established in 1994 born out of a partnership concerning John Alden Insurance and Dimension Physician Hospital Organization. In 2002 NHP was acquired by private interest which sold its 38,000 Medicare Advantage members to Preferred Care Partners, June 1, 2005. The UnitedHealthCare Insurance Group acquired the NHP later that same year and absorbed Neighborhood health’s South Florida HMO operations.
