By the mid eighties The United Health Care insurance company line of products had expanded to include United healthcare PPO and HMO plans, Medicare programs, and a managed benefits ranging form mental health to pharmacy cost management systems.

United Healthcare has a proven ability to quickly identify the trends in healthcare such as health savings accounts and provide consumer driven health plans to match. The stupendously clear position that we can glean, is the United health group ambition of growth. In 2004 UnitedHealthcare acquired Golden Rule Health Plans, and their line of individual medical savings products as well as Oxford Health Plans and Definity Health. But wait they are not done just yet, in 2005 UnitedHealthcare acquired PacifiCare Health Systems in Califorina, Neighborhood Health Partnership in South Florida, and John Deere Health Care in the Midwest.
